Look for the woman in the dress. If there is no woman, there is no dress. – Coco Chanel

I’m not one for trends but the off the shoulder look is one that I can definitely put my stamp of approval on. Of course, there’s nothing new about this style. Just ask your mom or grandma and she’ll probably give you that long spiel about how nothing in fashion is original anymore. Maybe she’ll even pull something out of her closet from “back in her days” and if you’re lucky enough, it will fit you 🙂 In any case, the exposed shoulder is definitely one silhouette that compliments any body type of any age. It’s a discretely sexy and feminine look that gives you that extra roar of confidence. Flirtatious while still mysterious! For some reason, I always gravitate towards the midi length dresses these days, it’s a bit tricky when you’re wearing flats, depending on your height it could look like you’re swimming in the dress but for me, I’m 5’6 and love wearing heels because, why not?! so Midi for me is a natural go-to. Besides, with the dress lowered off the shoulders, it gives the look some balance.
