Ultraviolets: Go BOLD
I am loving everything Violet for Spring. The range of colors in this palette looks beautiful on all skin tones and adds a bold pop of color to almost any look. You can wear this lipstick with a natural glowy makeup, golden cheek highlights and lightweight coverage for an everyday look. Or you can pair this palette with muted outfit colors to make your lips the focal point of your look. One last idea is to pair it with a monochrome look in the same shade, for example a lilac dress with a lilac lipstick, for a standout moment.
Reds With a Twist: Go BRIGHT
This color palette reminds me of summertime fun in the sun either on a beach resort in the Caribbean or picnicking in a city park under a canopy of summer blooms. The colors are bright, fun and sophisticated. Not your typical Reds but not far from them either. Wear it with a glowy skin, bold lashes and feathery eyebrows and style it with your favorite bathing suit and a coverup set or a colorful summer dress to instantaneously brighten up your day.
Not Your Typical Nudes: Go NATURAL
Let’s not forget about Nudes as well for Spring/Summer. I always like to bust out my most colorful eyeshadows and outfits during this time of the year and a natural nude lip is the perfect compliment to any bold look. Try pairing these lipsticks with Greens, Blues, Purples, Pinks or even Metallic eyeshadow – the nude lip will be the perfect way to balance them out. Wear it with soft pastel tones that won’t distract from your striking makeup look. If you’re an all natural kinda gal, I also love a completely laid back “no-makeup” makeup look with a nude lip and a relaxed minimalist outfit that still charms.
