For what it’s worth: It’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over. – F. Scott Fitzgerald
As the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make some lemonade because, why NOT?. To translate, during times of adversity and misfortune, it’s important to find strength in that negative experience. Learn from it and push forward to come out on the other side.
It’s easy to get stuck in a negative space when you get that unexpected smack in the face because life happens. The mind can be a very tricky thing and it’s important to know that you have complete control over your actions and reactions towards most situations. It’s also important to remember that everything is temporary and no situation is permanent in life. The wise Maya Angelou has taught us that “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”
I like to stay grounded by reminding myself that no one situation is unique to you, there are hundreds of thousands of people out there going through the same thing you are so your fight is never a lonely one.
