You can take the girl out of the city, but you can’t take the city out of the girl! I aways like to get away from the hustle and bustle of NYC once in a while because there’s really nothing like the tranquility of being in nature. These photos were taken on a weekend trip and I genuinely enjoyed getting away and being surrounded by trees instead of the sometimes overcrowded streets of NYC.
This Ralph Lauren wrap skirt was a thrifted find that I was really excited about because the waist fit perfectly (rare occurrence for me) and the fringed detail at the bottom gave it a bit of personality. The skirt is supposed to wrap all the way around (no slit) but as always, I like to add my own little personal touch to my outfits so I did a small DIY adjustment. Instead of wrapping it all the way around, I created an opening for a high slit and wrapped the extra material inside. This gave it a more updated and modern look.
